About
Every week, millions of people have their data stolen, their accounts compromised, or their devices infected with malware. Most of them only find out months later — if they find out at all.
breached.news exists to close that gap. We track the attacks, the breaches, and the scams targeting ordinary people, and we explain what's happening in plain language. No jargon. No assumption that you have a computer science degree. Just what happened, why it matters, and what you can do about it.
We cover three things:
- Stories — long-form accounts of the attacks that shaped how we think about digital security. The ransomware that shut down a hospital. The teenager who social-engineered his way into a Fortune 500 company. These aren't just tech stories. They're human ones.
- News — when a breach breaks, we cover it fast and clearly. Who was affected, what was taken, what you should do right now.
- Protect Yourself — honest, practical guides to the tools and habits that actually reduce your risk. No scaremongering. No selling you things you don't need.
